We are in an energy transition. Almost every day there are announcements about advances in technology or the deployment of battery storage, offshore wind, carbon capture, hydrogen, and more. It might seem reasonable just to sit back and wait for technology to make energy sustainable.
But there are serious questions overlooked: Who is going to do the work? Where? How? Economic and workforce development is as important to the energy transition as technological innovation. |
This conference, held on the bucolic campus of Emory & Henry College in Abingdon, Virginia, offers a thoughtful solutions-oriented review of the most pressing energy-related issues facing the region and country today.
